Growth strategist · Growth marketing consultant · SEO · GEO
I help AI, SaaS and technology companies grow organic demand: rankings on Google, citations in ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google AI Overviews, and the experiments that turn visitors into users. 9+ years in growth roles across the US, the Netherlands, Germany and the UK, including 50%+ organic traffic growth at Tappstr.
Senior growth help without a full-time hire: a fractional growth lead, a SaaS SEO and GEO program, or a focused growth experiment program. The work covers technical SEO, keyword and topic strategy, answer engine and generative engine optimization, content, lifecycle email, conversion, and the analytics that show which channel produces users.
Most B2B companies do not have a traffic problem. They have a visibility and sequencing problem: pages that rank for nothing buyers search for, no answer for the questions AI assistants now get asked, and no way to tell which channel brings the users who stay. My job is to fix the order of operations, then build the parts that compound.
As a growth strategist and growth consultant, I work with B2B SaaS teams as a growth marketing consultant and technical SEO consultant. The work covers growth marketing strategy, growth hacking experiments, search visibility and the analytics that connect them.
Currently: Growth Lead at Appear. Before that: growth marketing and organic search at Xylo AI (Minneapolis), Tappstr (Amsterdam) and ZEPCAM (Delft), growth at MetaWorks (Berlin), and customer experience analytics for enterprise SaaS clients at Chattermill (London).
How I work: I build the search and growth systems myself, then hand them over to your team. Every engagement starts with the numbers: which pages and queries bring users today, what your site looks like to Google and AI crawlers, and what a realistic 90-day target looks like.
Four ways to work together. Pick by how much help you need, not by how long a contract you can stomach.
4 to 6 weeks · fixed scope
Target queries, page map, technical SEO and GEO priorities and a 90-day roadmap with targets. Best when you are about to relaunch a site or need the plan right before you hireirst.
Monthly · part-time
Senior growth leadership plus hands-on execution for a set number of hours each week. Like an outsourced CMO, but focused on pipeline, and without the cost of a full-time head of growth.
6 to 12 weeks · one channel
Stand up one channel properly: an SEO and GEO program, a content system, or lifecycle email. Documented and handed over to your team.
For the right team
Hiring a head of growth or a senior SEO and GEO lead? I am open to conversations about senior growth roles at AI, SaaS and technology companies.
Review search data, page performance, AI crawler access and conversion funnels. Find where users really come from.
Agree the target queries and pages, the two or three growth channels worth funding, and a 90-day target you can measure.
Ship the pages, structured data, experiments, tracking and dashboards. Weekly check-ins, no monthly status theatre.
Cut what does not convert, double down on what does, and hand over a system your team can run.
Real outcomes from growth and organic search work across B2B SaaS, technology and AI companies.

What founders and marketing leaders ask before hiring a growth, SEO or GEO consultant.
A growth, SEO and GEO consultant makes a company easier to find and more useful to the people who arrive. That means technical SEO so Google can crawl and index the right pages, keyword and topic strategy mapped to pages, answer and generative engine optimization so AI assistants cite the brand, and growth experiments that turn visitors into users who stay. The work is measured in organic and AI referral users, retention and payback, not rankings alone.
Generative engine optimization (GEO) is the practice of getting your brand cited and recommended inside AI-generated answers from ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Claude and Google AI Overviews. It builds on SEO: AI tools retrieve from search indexes, so pages must be crawlable, indexed and answer specific questions with sourced facts. Answer engine optimization (AEO) is the closely related practice of becoming the direct answer to a question.
SEO earns rankings and clicks in search results. AEO (answer engine optimization) earns the direct answer, such as a featured snippet or AI Overview. GEO (generative engine optimization) earns citations and mentions inside answers written by generative AI tools. The three share one foundation: crawlable pages, clear answers and trustworthy sources.
It depends on scope. A fixed-scope roadmap is priced as a project, and a fractional growth lead is a monthly retainer for a set number of hours each week. Published 2026 pricing guides put most fractional growth and CMO retainers at roughly $5,000 to $25,000 a month, depending on hours, seniority and scope. I agree a written scope and price before any work starts.
Hire a consultant when you need senior judgment and hands-on execution but cannot yet justify a full-time executive. An agency suits volume once the strategy is clear. A full-time growth lead suits companies with proven channels and a team to lead. Many companies start with a consultant to set the search and growth plan, then add writers or an agency once it is proven.
Technical fixes and better titles can move rankings within weeks. New pages on a young domain usually take two to six months to rank for competitive terms. AI assistants can pick up indexed pages within days because many retrieve live results, but earning citations for competitive questions usually takes months and depends on authority and mentions elsewhere.
Yes. Early-stage AI, SaaS and technology startups usually need a focused plan: a technical base that search engines can read, a small set of low-competition keyword clusters, a few pages and free tools that can rank on a young domain, and experiments that show which users stay.
Yes. I am Growth Lead at Appear and take on a small number of fractional clients alongside that role. Because capacity is limited, I agree scope, hours and response times up front.
Whether you're exploring a partnership, improving search and AI visibility, or scaling growth - let's have a conversation. No pitch, no pressure. Just a strategic discussion about your growth opportunities.
